Sparring vs traditional
Not all doboks are the same
A traditional or club dobok is a heavier suit made for patterns, grading and everyday class. It is what most cheaper doboks are.
A sparring (fighter) dobok is a different garment. It is lighter and cooler, usually has a V-neck, and is cut to sit under a chest protector so it doesn't bunch or restrict kicking when your fighter spars.
When you compare prices, compare sparring doboks with other sparring doboks. A €30 club suit is not the same thing.

Questions
Dobok FAQ
What is the difference between a sparring dobok and a traditional dobok?
A traditional or club dobok is a heavier cotton or poly-cotton suit made for patterns, grading and everyday class. A sparring (fighter) dobok is lighter and cooler, usually with a V-neck, and is cut to sit comfortably under a chest protector during sparring and competition.
What size dobok should I buy?
Dobok sizes are the wearer's height in centimetres. Measure your fighter without shoes and pick the nearest size. If they are between sizes or still growing, choose the size up, or message us before you order.
Can my child wear a sparring dobok for normal class?
Yes, many fighters train in their sparring dobok. Check with your coach, as some clubs ask for a traditional dobok for grading.
